No one is immune from road rage, therefore it effects us all.

It is clear that driving a car can be stressful sometimes. This is innately dangerous due to the fact that in spite of being the safest driver, there are diverse variables that one cannot predict such as roadwork, traffic, accidents, and weather. Some people are not bad drivers, but all they do is engage in aggressive behaviors. Others even do things intentionally to prevent the other from getting to where they are going or to just make them angry. That is the progression thought someone has before changing into an aggressive mode, hence making the driver to quickly make unreasonable decisions (James & Nahl, 2010). One cannot deny that driving can be both emotional and risky. For many individuals, cars extent their personality, and they can be the most expensive possession they have.

There are many different ways we can educate and help stop road rage occurrences.

Lenny's enthusiasm for music exploded during his teen years. He staged amateur operas, dabbled at composition, and played on a radio show sponsored by his father's beauty supplycompany, a harbinger of the broad scope of his future professional activity. He becameparticularly adept at improvising variations in the styles of various classical and popcomposers, an early manifestation of the eclecticism that led him to value all music andto cite examples from the Beatles as readily as from Beethoven or to prefer attending aJimi Hendrix concert to a classical recital. He practiced the piano voraciously at allhours of the night; significantly, though, Lenny's was not the type of focussed, incessantrepetition aimed at perfection but rather a spontaneous outburst of the sheer joy ofplaying and invention that would characterize his career.

There are several factors that attribute to the growth of road rage.

Road rage is defined as an incident in which an angry or impatient motorist or passenger intentionally injures or kills another motorist passenger or pedestrian, or attempts or threatens to injure another motorist passenger or pedestrian, explains Gary Ronald, Public Affairs Manager, AA....

There are a wide range of aggressive road conducts, some of which prove to be more dangerous than others. Francis (2014) argues that driving aggressively comes into three reasons- power struggles, carelessness and impatience, irresponsibility, and road rage.

Another accident due to road rage.

Carelessness and impatience can be characterized by behavior such as blocking intercessions, progressing through stop signs, driving even when red lights are on, speeding as well as failing to use signals when changing lanes or turning. Drivers engaging in such behaviors often complain of their busy schedules, running out of time, or having their mind elsewhere (Grant-Braham, 2012). This is however the lowest degree of aggressive road behavior.

Additionally, unpredictability may also lead to road rage. It is factual that every time one drives, they are likely to encounter unexpected events like people pulling out into traffic without giving warning and this makes driving really stressful. Factors like territoriality or ambiguity also cause the behavior (Hill, King & Matheson, 2012). In terms of territoriality, individuals feel like their own space is threatened by other people, while when it comes to ambiguity there is no cultural way to signal an apology to another motorists, which makes it easy to misapprehend other people actions as a symbol of insult or aggression.

The following discussion explains how one can control road rage:

Restriction, which triggers aggression due to the fact that people must drive on roads, therefore, their options are limited, frequently giving them the urge of being boxed in. Another factor is immobility whereby drivers are all stuck in traffic and cannot physically release pressure. Moreover, lack of control can lead to anger in the roads as although drivers maintain their own vehicle control, variables such as lane closures, traffic, and other drivers’ behaviors may cause them to act violently (Larson & Rodriguez, 2013). The feeling of objectivity loss or denial makes motorists to overlook their own faults and blame others for their mistakes.

Roadrage is a Problem :: Driving Aggressive Road Rage

A normal road rage event occurs when at least one motorist chooses to react in anger. Normally, the driver may be stressed, which in turn triggers that kind of reaction. Many road aggressive drivers reported that they were under pressure in other aspects of their like, for example relationship or work, all which subsidize to their stress level, making them more susceptible to engaging in illogical conduct. According to Francis (2014), there are numerous driving aspects that lead to driver`s obstruction and anxiety levels. They include:

partially caused by road rage/ aggressive driving

When driving, people are aware that there is a probability for property damage or injury. It is also a show of freedom sometimes; however, it is a behavior that might increase stress levels. Driving can be classified as a community activity and once one has pulled into traffic, he or she joins a community of other motorists who have their own driving skills, fears, and goals. Psychologists argue that the one factor in road rage is people’s propensity to concentrate on themselves while ignoring the communal driving aspect. It is quite easy to see the actions of other drivers in terms of how they affect them, which can result into anger. Psychologists also argue that every driver is pre-disposed to road rage (Grant-Braham, 2012). They as well explain that most individuals are impaired emotionally when driving. The key, psychologists argue is becoming attentive of their emotional state and make informed decisions even when they are tempting to act out aggressively.
